On Common Ground: Your Land, My Land, Our Land –

The 32nd Annual City of Tampa Black History Celebration, with keynote speaker Ersula K. Odom, was held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Tampa Convention Center.

The celebration honored the legacy of our community, reflected upon our history, and created a community call to leaders and community members on making our region better collectively.

About The Speaker

Black History Celebration 2020 - Flyer2Ersula K. Odom is a legacy writer,  workshop leader, FHC Mary McLeod Bethune chautauquan, motivational speaker, prize-winning life lyricist, and author of “At Sula’s Feet”, “Africans Americans of Tampa”, and co-author of ‘The Doris Ross Reddick Story”.

As a motivational speaker, Ersula has the uncommon ability to relate to multi-generational and multi-cultural audiences by sharing experiences from such areas as rural living, college life, fortune 500 corporate management, spirituality, entrepreneurship, sales, and genealogy to publishing her first book.

For over two decades, the City of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc. (COTBHC) has recognized City of Tampa employees, supported local youth, and celebrated Tampa’s rich heritage.

Now, we offer you the chance to make a positive impact on the Tampa Bay region through sponsorship of the 4th Annual Golf Tournament.

The 4th Annual Golf Tournament will take place on April 27th at 8:30am at the Rogers Park Golf Course, located at 7910 North 30th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

This event supports the 2019 COTBHC Scholarship Awards in providing scholarships to outstanding high school graduates before they head off to the college or university of their choice. This event also offers a great opportunity for your organization to reach the Tampa Bay area with your brand and targeted message via the golf tournament.
