Melvin Teartt

Retired Senior Master Sergeant Melvin Teartt proudly served in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve from July 2001 to Oct 2024, completing more than 23 years of dedicated military service in security forces and special operations. In his final role as Operations Superintendent for the 301st Security Forces Squadron, he organized, trained, and equipped special operations teams to establish a strong security posture for the Combatant Command Combat Operations Center, in support and safeguarding 6,500 personnel and $3.9 billion in U.S. assets.

Throughout his career, Melvin served at installations in Texas, Florida, North Dakota, and Italy, and deployed in support of Operations Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. He also conducted multiple missions across the globe. His leadership experience includes serving as Superintendent and Chief of Security Operations at the unit, staff, and headquarters levels.
