Jean-René Rinvil

Jean-René Rinvil is an award-winning filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist. Jean-René was determined to pursue his artistic aspirations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and later completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

With a career spanning over two decades, Jean-René is passionately committed to creating films that resonate with a global audience. This dedication is evident in his notable projects, such as “Healing a Nation,” a documentary addressing mental health, and “Culture Clash,” both of which are streaming on platforms like Amazon Prime, Tubi, and other global streaming services.

For over 15 years, Jean-René has been an integral part of the Tampa Bay region, contributing in various capacities. He co-produced the Tampa Bay Black Film Series and the Caribbean Monthly Film Series and has been an active member of the Haitian community. His contributions extend to visual arts, dance, and numerous cultural initiatives throughout Tampa.

Over the course of his professional life, Jean-René has earned several accolades recognizing his impactful work. These include an official proclamation from the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Bergen County, New Jersey and a Congressional Certificate from the 5th Congressional District of New Jersey. His artwork has also been exhibited internationally, including in Budapest, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and various countries in Africa.
