Latonia Boykins

Latonia Boykins was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and now resides in Tampa, where she runs two growing businesses: Annie’s Assisted Living Facility and Top 2 Bottom Builders. In addition to her busy work schedule, she is also a wife, a mother to two beautiful daughters, and a full-time caregiver to her brother with special needs.

When Latonia’s mother passed away when she was only 16 years old, she was raised by her grandmother. A witness to her grandmother’s tireless work ethic, Latonia has never been a stranger to hard work and dedication. It was under her grandmother’s wing where Latonia learned first-hand that women could maintain, teach, and persevere even in the toughest of times.

Latonia’s eldest daughter’s father was killed when she was only 23, leaving her to raise and fend for her daughter’s well-being at a young age. Although she attended Hillsborough Community College and the University of Phoenix, Boykins was more interested in achieving entrepreneurial success. In 2008, she opened Top 2 Bottom Cleaning, which led to the creation of Top 2 Bottom Property Preservation in 2011 with her husband. In 2013, she left corporate America to pursue her business interests full-time. In 2017, Top 2 Bottom Property Preservation began building houses for the people in her community who needed them most. The success of this venture allowed her to open her first Assisted Living Facility, Annie’s, which was a labor of love—a place her grandmother would be proud of. She recently opened a 5th facility in April 2024 where her dream of helping others thrives.
