Welcome, and thank you for joining us at the 37th Annual City of Tampa Black History Celebration! This year's theme, Trailblazers: Leading Change, highlights individuals throughout the Tampa Bay Area who have set themselves apart by overcoming personal and/or professional challenges to excel within their respective industries. I extend my thanks to the members of COTBHC, past presidents, our founders, community partners, volunteers, and employees of the City of Tampa for 37 years of dedicated service promoting African American culture!

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Angela Hill, USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy

Dr. Angela Hill, a professor and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at the USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy, received her Pharm.D. from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and completed a residency in Neurology at the Neuroscience Foundation Inc.

She is a licensed Consultant pharmacist who has a wealth of experience and specialization in mental health, neurological disorders, alternative medicine, and geriatrics. More…

Fadia Patterson is an award-winning multimedia journalist who has worked for television stations in Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, and currently, Tampa. She is the host of the podcast “Creole Narratives,” which covers stories about the Haitian, Caribbean, and Afro-Latin diaspora. As an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Fadia served on the national and local levels to mentor young journalists of color.
